When the Dave Matthews Band performed at Jazz Fest three weeks ago, Rashawn Ross joined the group on trumpet throughout its set. Now it appears that Ross, who also appeared with the band off and on during the late summer through the early winter will be back in 2006. The trumpet player who has gigged with Soulive on multiple occasions over the past few years, has confirmed on his MySpace page that he will be on board on this summer (‘Can’t Wait!!!! Come check out some shows…..It’s gonna be Smokin’!!!!’).The DMB tour opens a week from today at the UMB Bank Pavilion in Maryland Heights, MO.
