On Tuesday night Norfolk, Virginias The Norva hosted a rare double-bill that featured Blues Traveler and Yonder Mountain String Band. The evening offered extended single sets from each group as well as some sit-ins. John Popper added a bit of bluegrass harp to Yonder, including a set-closing run from It’s All Too Much into Peace Of Mind into King Ebenezer and back into Peace Of Mind. During the Traveler set, Austin jettisoned his mandolin in favor of an electric guitar for She Isnt Mine and Mulling It Over. Both bands are in action over the weekend and have active tour schedules throughout the summer.
