The Slip has just announced some additional tour dates on both coasts, as the band will make the rounds through July. Next week the trio will travel to San Francisco for three shows in the Bay Area at smaller venues: on June 15 at Cafe du Nord, June 16 at Hotel Utah and June 17 at the Ivy Room. The Slip will then wing it home for two dates at Bostons Symphony Hall on June 21 and 22 following a performance by My Morning Jacket with the full Boston Pops. The group will then travel west again to appear at the High Sierra Music Festival in late June before circling back to play a couple east coast gigs in July. Also of interest are two festival gigs in which the bands rhythm section, bassist Marc Friedman and drummer Andrew Barr, will back Dan Bern. These performances will take place at the Ottawa Blues Festival on July 12 and at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival on July 22.
