Trey Anastasio is currently on the road supporting Tom Petty for a round of amphitheatre dates. Similar to his Atlanta performances in April, Anastasio’s backing band consists of Tony Hall (bass), Raymond Webster (drums), Ray Paczkowski (keyboards), Jennifer Hartswick (vocals) and Christina Durfee (vocals). On the first two nights of his run, Anastasio also invited out a pair of additional horn players: longtime collaborator Russell Remington and Ben Groppe. Groppe, who is best known for his work in the Jammy nominated Addison Groove Project, was a classmate of Hartswick and former Anastasio band member Andy Moroz. According to reports, Anastasio decided to forego horns for the rest of his tour given his short set time. Tonight, Anastasio will appear at Columbus, OH/s Germain Amphitheater.
