Gov’t Mule will end its summer festivities with a rock-heavy performance at Brooklyn, NY’s McCarren Pool. After more then 20-years of dormancy, the supposedly haunted swimming hole has been reopened as a concert venue. Throughout the summer, a number of indie-acts, including Sonic Youth and the Secret Machines, will perform benefit shows to open the abandoned pool. A handful of bands will also perform free shows at the venue on Sunday afternoons, including Of Montreal, Dr. Dog and Apollo Sunshine. Gov’t Mule will host its Rockin’ the Burro event at McCarren Pool on September 9, with Wolfmother and Two Gallants supplying support duties.
