Phish will revisit the 1980s with its next archival release , Colorado ’88. A three-CD set featuring highlights from Phishs first tour outside the northeast, Colorado 88 features selections from the groups July 1988 run through clubs and bars in Telluride and Aspen, CO. Known for both its humorous mishaps and its masterful music (with Jon Fishman missing much of the groups legendary July 30, 1988 performance), tapes from groups 1988 Colorado run have long been hot commodities. Mastered from the groups original analog cassette tapes, Colorado ’88 contains many early-Phish rarities, including Alumni Blues, A Letter To Jimmy Page and Flat Fee. The multi-disc set also boasts a hefty chunk of Trey Anastasios Gamehendge saga (which Phish had recently debuted), as well as an early covers of the Talking Heads Cities and Traffics Light Up Or Leave Me Alone.
