Last night San Francisco, the Dark Star Orchestra performed the first gig of a three show run at the Fillmore Auditorium. On hand behind the board was former Grateful Dead soundman Dan Healy, while guitarist John Kadlecik played Jerry Garcias Wolf guitar. In addition, Bob Weir, who watched the first set from the grateful Dead tribute band up in the balcony, later took the stage with DSO for set two. Weir stepped in for Ron Eaton (who handles the Bobby role) and sang lead on a couple songs including Terrapin while sharing vocals with Kadlecik on China Cat Sunflower and I Know You Rider. Eaton then emerged for the encore as both Bobbys sang Mighty Quinn.
