Continuing our Columbus Day weekend sit-in report, on both Saturday and Sunday String Cheese Incident invited a number of guests onto the stage in the southeast. On Saturday the group performed at Asheville, NCs Thomas Wolfe Auditorium. During set break rising stars Delta Nove started playing percussion out in the lobby, drumming their way onto the stage where SCIs Michael Travis and Jason Haan joined in the festivities. The rest of String Cheese Incident then trickled onto the stage for Miss Brown’s Teahouse. On Sunday the String Cheese Incident performed at Charleston, SCs the Blackbaud Stadium, with Peter Rowan & Tony Rice Quartet supplying opening duties. The bluegrass triple threat of Rowan, Sharon Gilchrist and Bryn Bright then emerged for Long Black Veil, Free Mexican Air Force and No Woman No Cry at the end of the groups first set. String Cheese Incident performs at Knoxville, TNs Tennessee Theater tonight.
