Govt Mule will allow a few costume-clad fans onstage this Halloween. While performing at Kansas City, MOs Uptown Theatre, Govt Mule will select five finalists to come on stage where the evenings best costume will be selected. That winner will then get to sit on stage during Mules set and will be sent a CD documenting the nights performance. The evenings other finalists will be given after show passes to meet Warren Haynes and the rest of Govt Mule.
The rock-quartet is currently on the road supporting its latest studio album, Mr. High & Mighty. During Govt Mules performance at Spokane, WAs The Big Easy Saturday, the group also invited a handful of guests onstage during its set. First, San Francisco-bred drummer Miles Kennedy, who has performed with such diverse artists as Neil Diamond and funk band the Dead Kings, appeared on Hunger Strike and Dear Mr. Fantasy. Soon after, the evenings opening act, Donavon Frankenreiter, and his organist, Eric Brigmond, appeared on a cover of All Along the Watchtower during Govt Mules encore. Govt Mules fall tour will pick up in Kansas City on Halloween .
