Galactic is hard at work on its next studio album , which will take the quintet

into more hip-hop territory with the addition of numerous DJs and MCs. Over the
weekend the group previewed its new direction while on the west coast. On Saturday Galactic invited Blackalicious Gift of Gab out for his Alphabet Aerobics, Deoxit, and Supreme at San Franciscos The Fillmore. Gift of Gab reprised his role his role with the band for a number of songs at the second annual Vegoose music festival Sunday, before Digable Planetss Ladybug Mecca took the stage.
