Widespread Panic closed out its first tour with Jimmy Herring this weekend at Bee Cave, TXs The Backyard. Randall Bramblett opened the groups performances and joined Panic sporadically throughout their two-set shows. On Friday Bramblett emerged for Hatfield, while on Saturday the saxophonist appeared on L.a and Pickin’ Up The Pieces. Longtime Widespread Panic guitar technician Sam Holt, who also kicked off a tour with his group Outformation this weekend, also appeared with Widespread Panic during its encore Saturday on a blend between Vacation and Last Dance. Earlier in the week Herring also made a one-off reunion appearance with Aquarium Rescue Unit (featuring Bobby Lee Rodgers) at Atlantas Variety Playhouse. Widespread Panic will perform at Atlantas Philips Arena on December 30.
