Hot Buttered Rum will morph their annual Fall Meltdown weekend at Yosemite National Park this fall into an ‘Urban Meltdown’ held within San Franciscos borders. The bluegrass outfit will perform at The Independent on November 17 and 18 as part of the weekend long festival. In addition to their musical performances, Hot Buttered Rums weekend activities will include a kickball tournament in Golden Gate Park, a green BBQ, an alternative fuel car show (where the group will showoff its veggie oil bus, Seana), and a set of kids music under the alias The Overall Experience (a fictional old-timey band with a striking resemblance to the members of Hot Buttered Rum). Immediately after, the group will head to Hawaii for a handful of shows, before returning to the Northwest and North California for a string of shows (the latter of which will feature Matt Butler on drums). The quintet will also simulcast a number of shows through www.morebutter.net/radio.
