John Popper Shares His ‘Tequila’ with RatDog

Blues Traveler first entered the Grateful Dead-world through its early manager Bill Graham, who put the quartet onstage with members of the lauded San Francisco collective before his untimely death in 1991. Last Thursday the Dead/Traveler worlds interested once again when Blues Traveler shared a bill with RatDog at Uncasville, CTs Mohegan Sun Casino. During RatDogs show, John Popper emerged on harmonica for a good chunk of the groups set, including Silvio, Tequila, and Iko Iko. On Saturday Berkeley, CA drummer Tom Pope also emerged for Terrapin Flyer during RatDogs second set at Newark, NJs Prudential Hall. RatDog will appear at Atlantas The Tabernacle tonight.
