Mountain Moves Mule

Govt Mules fall tour veered north over the weekend , but that didnt stop the group from inviting a number of guests onto the stage. On Friday the quartet performed at Torontos The Kool Haus, where jazz guitarist Gordy Johnson joined the group for I’m A Ram, Born Under A Bad Sign and Cortez The Killer. On Born Under a Bad Sign, the group also brought out Mountain drummer Corky Laing, who Warren Haynes has collaborated with on several occasions in the past. A night later, the Campbell Brothers team of pedal steel guitarist Chuck and guitarist Phil appeared on Turn on Your Lovelight at Rochester, NYs Harro East Ballroom. Finally, last night at Royal Oak, MIs Royal Oak Music Theater, legendary Rockets guitarist Jim McCarty appeared on blues chestnuts like Champagne & Reefer, I Ain’t Superstitious and Oh Well, (with Rockets keyboardist Donnie Backus appearing on the final two selections).

Govt Mule will appear tomorrow at Indianapolis, INs Murat Theatre/Egyptian Room.. On December 7, Haynes will also perform on Madison, WI. s WMMM. For more on the radio appearance please visit
