Our final New Years Eve report of the day (look for a few stragglers tomorrow) is from Philadelphias Theatre of Living Arts where Tea Leaf Green and the Brakes shared the evening. Following sets by each group, Tea Leaf emerged for its second set with the members of the Brakes in tow to deliver a song by none other than (yes, indeedy) James Brown, a take on ‘Get Up (I Feel Like Being Like A) Sex Machine (Part 1)’ followed by AC/DCs Have a Drink On Me. The Brakes then stepped off as TLG focused on its own material for most of the set that followed before the members of the opening act returned for a cover of the Beatles I’ve Got a Feeling followed by Georgie P.
Tea Leaf Green is currently aboard Jam Cruise while the Brakes are off until a run of shows with Big Head Todd and the Monsters beginning in mid-January.
