Former Jambands.com New Groove of the Month, Old Union, sold out its New Year’s Eve performance at Nashville’s Belcourt Theatre. Over the course of the evening a number of the bands friends and steady collaborators took the stage. Loving Cup led into the New Years Eve countdown along with the members of Hopsing Project and Ballhog! who opened the show. Chris West and the Junkyard Horns contributed to the bulk of Old Unions set. In addition, Allman Brothers Band vet Johnny Neel also joined in for much of the action, including numerous originals as well as covers of Dr. John’s ‘Right Place, Wrong Time’, Credence Clearwater Revival’s ‘Long as I Can See the Light’ and Van Morrison’s ‘Caravan’.

Old Union is off until a gig next Thursday at Charley O’Corley’s in Augusta, GA.
