Over the weekend Bay Area-brethren New Monsoon and Tea Leaf Green shared the stage at Lake Tahoe, NVs Crystal Bay Casino. The longtime friends flipped-flopped closing spots each night and used their joint bill as a springboard for collaboration. On Friday, Tea Leaf Greens Trevor Garrod emerged for a version of Greenhouse, while both Garrod and Josh Clark sat in on a cover of The Whos Eminence Front. On Saturday, New Monsoons Jeff Miller and Phil Ferlino returned the favor, stepping up during Tea Leaf Greens set for Criminal Intent and the Velvet Undergrounds Im Waiting for My Man. New Monsoon will appear at San Franciscos Fillmore on Saturday while Tea Leaf Green will next perform at The Attic in Santa Cruz on Friday, February 2.
