The unique Dogstock Music and Camping Festival is back for a fifth year. The event will take place on July 26-29 on 81 acres of the Akita Adoption and Rescue sanctuary outside of Melvern, KS. More than 100 bands will perform at Dogstock, with an initial roster of performers that includes: New Riders of the Purple Sage, Perpetual Groove, Melvin Seals & JGB, Rebirth Brass Band, Leon Russell, Great American Taxi, Commander Cody Band, Blueground Undergrass, Moonshine Still, Devon Allman’s Honeytribe, Shanti Groove and Blueground Undergrass. One of Dogstocks goals is to raise community awareness of this and other rescue groups’ efforts and to highlight the availability of healthy animals looking for good homes. Animal lovers are invited to bring their lucky dog to the festival, however all pets must be spayed/neutered and have a current vaccination record. Early Bird tickets are on sale now through January 31 at the festival site.
