Athens Gets The Point
Tishamingo is performing a special record release event this Thursday in support of Nus Space. John Kurzweg (Creed, Jewel) produced The Point, which is the third disc from the New Groove alum, set for a formal release on February 20. The performance will take place at the 40 Watt in Athens, GA with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the resource/support center.
In 1999, the Phillips family formed the NuPhillips Memorial Foundation in memory of their 22-year-old son and brother Nu a University of Georgia student and musician who had taken his own life three years earlier after a long battle with depression. The family then recognized the need for obstacle-free, user-friendly ways of treating and supporting musicians and artists who suffer from depression and other such disorders.
