moe. spent the weekend in Colorado performing at a range of venues in celebration of The Conchs January release. Jeff Austin opened the groups performance at the Fillmore Auditorium Saturday and, later, joined the quintet on mandolin for a version of Waiting For The Punchline. Austin also shared the stage with some friends during his opening set, including Hot Rize bassist Nick Forrester and Umphreys McGee guitarist Brendan Bayliss (the latter of whom Austin performed a set of music with onboard Jam Cruise earlier this month). Bayliss returned to the stage at the end of moe.s set as well for a guest spot on St. Augustine. Friday moe. also looked to its past while performing at the intimate Fox Theatre, offering the first version (or at least a verse of) Little Feats Willin’ since May 22, 1999. The group will make an in-store appearance at Brentwood, MOs Borders tonight.
