JJ Grey and MOFRO are currently touring in support of their well-received new studio album, Country Ghetto . Along for the ride are fellow southern roots-rockers Virginia Coalition and, over the past few days, a number of additional guests have also filtered onto the stage. While performing in its Florida homestate the group welcomed Judy Van Zants son Matt Grondin onstage at Orlandos House of Blues and The Legendary JC’s Eugene Snowden to jam at Tampas Skipper’s Smokehouse Tampa. Grey has also recruited a horn section for his current tour consisting of saxophonist Art Edmaiston (Gamble Brothers, Galactic) and trumpeter Dennis Marion(Al Green).

MOFRO will perform at New Yorks Irving Plaza tonight. The group also stopped by WFUVs studios today to perform a short set which can be streamed online.
