Our Allman Brothers Band Beacon Theatre reports continue with news of last nights show at the New York City venue. On Tuesday evening, the guitarists friends and family made appearances, starting with a version of Spoonful late in the first set which featured Col. Bruce Hampton on vocals and Audley Freed on guitar (Freed later returned for the One Way Out encore). Then the second set opened with a version of ‘I Shall Be Released’ that featured Derek Trucks wife, Susan Tedeschi, on vocals, along with longtime Warren Haynes friend Kevn Kinney (Haynes produced the longtime Drivin’ N Cryin’ frontmans The Flower and the Knife). Then, during Any Day, Tedeschi remained to contribute backing vocals while Derek Trucks Band drummer Yonrico Scott sat in on Jamioes kit.

Meanwhile, the ABB has announced that it will add an additional show to its Beacon run. The group also will perform at the theater on Sunday, April 8 with tickets currently on sale.
