Kaki King Added to Charlie Hunter’s Green Apple Performance

Kaki King has been added to the Charlie Hunter Trios previously announced Green Apple performance at New Yorks Housing Works Bookstore Cafn April 20. All proceeds from the event will go to support the programs of Housing Works, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that provides housing, healthcare, advocacy, and other services to homeless people living with HIV and AIDS. ‘Housing Works is the nation’s largest minority-controlled AIDS services provider, says veteran journalist Alan Light, the events curator. All proceeds from our stores and from this Charlie Hunter show go toward offering shelter, medical services, job training, and legal advocacy for homeless people living with AIDS in New York City.’ Hunters trio also features once and future Fat Mama keyboardist Erik Deutsch and drummer Simon Lott. In other news, noted childrens performer Tom Chapin has been added to Green Apples New York line-up. Chapin will play a kid friendly show at Symphony Space on April 21 at 11 AM.
