The Jazz Mandolin Project will return this weekend a new line up and a new mission. Joining mandolin ace Jamie Masefield for his upcoming series of shows will be

drummer Sean Dixon, upright bassist Scott Ritchie and saxophonist Peter Apfelbaum.
As of press time the group has confirmed stops at Sewanee TNs The University of the South (4/20), Burlington, VTs University of Vermont (4/21), Northampton, MAs Smith College (4/27) and New Yorks The Highline Ballroom (5/31). At the latter two gigs, JMP will perform its How Much Land Does a Man Need? multi-media environmental song-cycle. JMPs New York performance will also benefit the preservation and reuse of the Highline, an elevated railway and future park that runs along Manhattans West Side.
