Horning’s Hideout, the North Plains, Oregon camping and concert facility first gained the attention of many Jambands.com readers in 2000, when it hosted a three-day String Cheese Incident event. However over the past two years the site has faced government challenges, as the local county commissioner limited its ability to host concert events. Now, more than a year and a half after the county first raised a number of permitting issues, the commission has once again approved the site for camping and concerts. Heretofore, the only event announced for the summer of 2007 was the Sixth Annual Northwest String Summit, which will take place on August 25-27, yet this ruling now opens the door for additional gatherings, including a possible re-appearance by the String Cheese Incident, which has confirmed that it will perform somewhere in Oregon on July 27-29.
