Peter Prince & Moon Boot Lover spent four nights on the road last week supporting Grace Potter & the Nocturnals throughout upstate New York. As expected, a number of collaborations took place during the groups brief run. Both Friday night at Ithaca, NY’s the Haunt and Saturday night at Troy, NYs Revolution Hall, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals invited semi-regular Moon Boot Lover keyboardist Jeff Merrow to the stage for Porter’s Watching You. On both nights, the Nocturnals also brought Peter Prince to the stage during its encore for a cover of Band of Gypsys ‘Who Knows?’ and the rest of Moon Boot Lover out for a show closing version of the Beatles ‘Come Together’ (which also included some humorous metal-style thrashing).

Members of the Nocturnals also jammed with Moon Boot Lover during the group’s opening set. On Friday, guitarist Scott Tournet joined Moon Boot Lover for a version of its Friends. Tournet returned to the stage on Saturday, this time along with Nocturnals drummer Matt Burr, for both Friends and Bag a Day Habit. The guitarist remained onstage for a set closing version of James Cotton’s ‘Goodbye My Lady.’
Peter Prince & Moon Boot Lover will return to the stage May 27 for a late night set at Greenfield, MAs StrangeCreek Campout.
