My Morning Jacket has confirmed two dates with Bob Dylan in what otherwise remains a open summer for the group. The band will open two Colorado shows for Dylan, at Red Rocks (July 19) and Telluride Town Park (July 21). The only other announced summer MMJ performances are in August at the Lollapalooza Festival with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra and in September at the Austin City Limits Festival.

Meanwhile, this Saturday May 19, Jim James will spin classic soul and funk jams at Mainstreet Lounge in Louisville, KY. He will be joined by Dave Givan who appeared with him in James pre-MMJ group, Month of Sundays. The event will mark the release of Mont De Sundua, which collects ten tracks recorded by the band back in 1998.
