On Sunday July 8, Page McConnell will bring his touring band to the west coast to participate in the High Sierra Music Festival. McConnells High Sierra debut may well also be the west coast premiere of his new group, as no other dates have yet been confirmed. Also added to the HSMF line-up are San Francisco Afrobeat collective ensemble ALBINO!, electronica trio Future Rock and Markus James and the Wassonrai, which blends the sounds of the Mississippi Delta and Mali. The High Sierra Music Festival will take place in Quincy, CA from July 5-8, with a line-up that also includes: Yonder Mountain String Band, Leftover Salmon, The Disco Biscuits, Les Claypool, Galactic, Del McCoury Band, Soulive, Chris Thile & The How to Grow a Band featuring Bryan Sutton, Mavis Staples, Tea Leaf Green, ALO, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, JJ Grey & MOFRO, The New Mastersounds, Bobby Previte’s Coalition of the Willing, Toubab Krewe, Tony Furtado and Outformation.
