Northern New Jersey’s The Underpass has long bucked trends as one of the few venues to focus on original music in an area where many clubs only present cover bands. Alas, this outlet will soon disappear as the Elmwood Park venue will close it’s doors at the end of May. The final night of music will be May 30, with two sets from Echofission. The booking is quite fitting as The Underpass is also the venue where the group performed its first gig in the fall of 2001.
