This summer marks the 40th anniversary of the Summer of Love. One of the first celebrations to mark the birth of hippie-rock culture will be The Wavy Gravy Summer of Love Revival. The event will take place at The San Geronimo, CAs Valley Cultural Center on June 2, raising funds for Wavy Gravys Camp Winnarainbow. The event is scheduled to begin at 4 PM with a performance by an all-star version of Moonalice, featuring G.E. Smith (Saturday Night Live, Bob Dylan), Barry Sless (Phil Lesh and Friends), Pete Sears (Jefferson Starship), Roger and Ann McNamee (Flying Other Brothers) and Jimmy Sanchez (Bonnie Raitt, Dr. John). The Revival All-Stars, which features Greg Anton (Zero) Barry Melton (Country Joe and the Fish), Tom Finch (Big Brother and the Holding Company), Banana (The Youngbloods) and Martin Fierro (The Jerry Garcia Band, Zero), will also perform, followed by a short set from the High School Band Euphoria.
