New Jersey-bred quartet Jounce recently won a spot at the Green Apple Music & Arts Festival through a Sonicbids competition orchestrated by Jambands.com and Relix. Now, the group is giving back, hosting a charity concert to benefit the Save the Ravine Alliance. The grassroots environmental group is currently working to preserve the Deep Voll Ravine, a 13- acre tract of land in Wyckoff, NJ. The concert will be held at Teaneck’s Mexicali Blues at 6 PM, Sunday, June 3. Jounce will also be joined by various local artists throughout the evening. Tickets are $10 for students/$15 adults and available by emailing [email protected] or via mexicalibluescafe.com. All ticket sales from this event will be donated to the Save the Ravine Alliance legal defense fund.

‘We are 100% behind the Save the Ravine Alliance’s efforts to preserve the Deep Voll Ravine in Wyckoff,’ says Jounce drummer Joe Ciarallo. Adds bass player Dan Tamberelli, ‘We all grew up nearby and watched as little by little all of the open space in
town was gobbled up by new houses. It makes sense for us to chip in and help local residents preserve the nature of our community.
In other news, the band has announced that it will headline a Rocks Off boat cruise around Manhattan on Friday, July 20. Fore more information visit www.jounce.org .
