Bond, Colorados historic State Bridge Lodge caught fire this past Saturday morning at 4:30am. While no one was injured, the main building itself was destroyed (the facility’s cabins and yurts remain standing). The Banyan show scheduled for last night was moved to the Samana Lounge in Vail and many of the upcoming performances likely will be moved there as well. In addition, general manager Scott Stoughton has indicated that he hopes to bring in a tent to the State Bridge site and host music there, quite possibly starting with The Radiators weekend slated for June 29 and 30. State Bridge gained its name back in the late nineteenth century via the construction of a wagon bridge, the areas first such structure to cross the Colorado River.
