Ornette Coleman Collapses On Stage at Bonnaroo, Resting at Area Hospital
Midway into his set on Sunday, jazz legend Ornette Coleman collapsed due to heat exhaustion. Sunday was the warmest day of the four-day festival, as temperatures peaked at 95 degrees. By 6:30pm when Colemans group took the stage at the Other Tent, the heat had abated somewhat however they still proved overwhelming to the septuagenarian. Coleman was taken to an area hospital where his condition reportedly has stabilized.
