Albuquerque will host its third annual World Music and Culture Festival this coming September. Globalquerque! Will take place at the National Hispanic Cultural Center on September 21 and 22. The Queen of Blues, Koko Taylor will anchor the Friday line-up, while Saturday also will feature Mickey Harts Global Drum Project, which will draw together Zakir Hussain, Giovanni Hildago And Sikiru Adepoju. As Befits The Festivals Title, Globalquerque! Will Offer Music From Across The Earthy, Including Moroccos Hassan Hakmoun, Tibets Yungchen Lhamo, Dominican guitarist Puerto Plata and his 6-piece ensemble, Senegalese kora player and the puppetry of Chinas Dragon Art Studio.
