Despite being in his early 90s, guitar inventor Les Paul still performs each Monday at New Yorks Iridium. Over the years many guitarists have taken the stage during Pauls set, ranging from Paul McCartney to Derek Trucks. Last night, Paul invited out another old friend, Steve Miller, for a medley of songs, including Millers God Bless the Child. Paul has been a good friend of the Miller family for years and Steves father even served as the best man at his marriage to Mary Ford. Steve Miller took his first guitar lesson from Paul at the age of five and later included an early recording of the pair on his box set. Les Paul will return to the Iridium next Monday.
