Umphrey’s McGee, Michael Franti and STS9 to Join Rage, Daft Punk and the Shins at Vegoose

Superfly Productions and A.C. Entertainment have confirmed the lineup for the third annual Vegoose. As in years past, the event will take place at Sam Boyd Stadium throughout Halloween weekend, this year from October 27-28. A slight left turn from last years mix of artists, Vegoose 2007 will veer into the hip-hop and electronica realms, boasting headlining spots from Rage Against the Machine and Daft Punk. The festival will also feature appearances by garage-rock icons Iggy and the Stooges, who will perform their seminal album Fun House in its entirety, Muse, Cypress Hill, Queens of the Stone Age, Public Enemy and the Shins, who performed at the inaugural festival in 2005. Other confirmed acts include Michael Franti & Spearhead, Umphrey’s McGee, Thievery Corporation, STS9, Ghostface Killah & The Rhythm Roots Allstars, Blonde Redhead, Gogol Bordello, U.N.K.L.E., Ghostland Observatory, Pharoah Monch and Battles. As in years past, the festival will also host the Impersonators Cafthe Wedding Chapel, the Vegoose Cabaret and the Great Evil Pumpkin.

In addition, Vegoose will also include Vegoose at Night, a series of separately ticketed indoor performances. Confirmed shows include Thievery Corporation at the House of Blues (10/26), moe. at The Pearl (10/26), Umphreys McGee at the House of Blues (10/27), Michael Franti & Spearhead at The Joint Hard Rock (10/27), STS9 at the House of Blues (10/28) and the Shins at The Joint Hard Rock (10/28). A number of additional acts will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
