Guster befriended Ben Kweller long before he was an indie-darling and has remained close with the fresh faced singer ever since. In 2001, Guster singer Ryan Miller played his one and only solo show with Kweller at New Yorks Wetlands where the pair debuted the co-composition I Hope Tomorrow Is Like Today. Kweller appeared on the studio version of the song in 2003 and, earlier this week, jammed on the tune again while opening for Guster at Apple Valley MNs Minnesota Zoo. Kweller emerged near the end of the groups set to play on both his co-composition and Either Way. The singer/songwriter also played on I Hope Tomorrow Is Like Today a night earlier during the first night of the groups residency at Minnesota Zoo and last weekend while at Indianapolis INs The Lawn at White River. Kweller will play a different one of his albums in its completion each night of his stand at Brooklyn, NYs Southpaw from next Monday through Wednesday.
