In writing about Lupos Heartbreak Hotel, (see story below) it only seems fitting that we mention a festival hosted by the first band that our site editor ever saw at Lupos: Max Creek (this was back in the early eighties, two Lupos locations in the past). This weekend the group will host the 22nd installment of its Camp Creek festival, which in recent years has taken place at Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, NY. Max Creek will close out the main stage on Saturday and Sunday, while tonight this duty falls to Creek guitarist Scott Murawski and his Guitarness project which also features Jeff Pevar, Dave Livolsi and Joel Rosenblatt. Other artists scheduled to appear at Campo Creek include Yonder Mountain String Band, The Ryan Monbleau Band, Peter Prince & Moon Boot Lover, Gordon Stone Band, Scarecrow Collection, Sam Kininger Band, Breadbox Band, Fungus Amungus, Rolla The Brew, The Rev Tor Band with Max Creeks Mark Mercier and Juggling Suns.
