The first leg of Keller Williams summer tour with Bob Weir and RatDog came to a close Saturday night at Los Angeles Greek Theatre. Like each night of the paired performers outing, Williams appeared with RatDog during its set, this time on Althea and Scarlet Begonias. Spearheads Dave Shul also made a surprise appearance, playing guitar on a slow closing segue connecting Dear Prudence, Cassidy and One More Saturday Night. Weir also sat-in with Williams during his show, adding guitar and vocals to

‘Monkey and the Engineer, Cadillac’ and ‘Dark Hollow.’
A night earlier the increasingly close friends collaborated on Black Peter during RatDogs show and ‘Jack-A-Roe’ and ‘Wake Up Little Suzie’ during Williams performance. Onetime Bobby & the Midnites guitarist Bobby Cochran also played with his former boss on West L.A. Fadeaway and Ashes and Glass. RatDog will return to the road for an appearance at Bridgeport, CTs Gathering of the Vibes on August 11, while Williams is back in business this Friday for a spot at Empire, MIs Dunegrass & Blues Festival.
