It has been a while since Karl Denson has performed or recorded with his Tiny Universe, focusing instead on the Greyboy Allstars and the Karl Denson Trio. On September 18, he will release his first recording with the KD3, Lunar Orbit. The trio is comprised of Denson on sax, keyboard player Anthony Smith and drummer Jake Najor. The group will then support the disc with a series of September dates that will see the KD3 travel from the Midwest to New York City from September 7-22.
