Given its band members many commitments, Strings For Industry played only a limited number of dates this summer. The group, which draws together celebrated fiddler player Darol Anger, Leftover Salmon alum Tye North, Honkytonk Homeslice’s Scott Law and drummer Carlton Jackson appeared at the High Sierra Festival, Oregon Country Fair and Yonder Mountain’s Northwest String Summit. In addition the band expanded to a quintet with Charter Member Tony Furtado at the High Sierra Festival. Anger describes the group as an electric groove band, and folks now have the opportunity to spend a bit more time with the group via Interstellar Supreme Vol. 1. This recording is currently available at Strings For Industry shows, with a wider release to follow.
