Tea Leaf Green spent the weekend in New York headlining three nights at the new Blender Theatre at Gramercy. Relix recording artists Tom Marshall and Amfibian supported on nights one and two, while TLG offered an acoustic opening set under the name Coffee Bean Brown on night three (a name the group often uses for acoustic gigs while home on the west coast). Before heading to Philadelphia, the group also stopped by the Relix/Jambands.com offices Tuesday to play Emma Lee, Honey Bee and One Reason for a forthcoming episode of Relixs podcast Cold Turkey. Tea Leaf Green then played a low profile acoustic show for approximately 70 fans at New Yorks Mo Pitkin’s. The group opened its set with Dreaming Without Sleeping, and ran through selections like Packing Up, Harvest Time, Cowboys Lullabuy, Honey Bee, These two Chairs and Freedom, among many others, throughout its two set show. The performance was recorded for future use by the good folks at eMusic. Tea Leaf Green will perform at Philadelphias World Cafive tonight.
