Moonalice is currently in the midst of a tour that will carry the band to the west coast and then across the continent. The group, which will appear in Denver over the next two evenings, consists of seven members who rotate in and out of the group’s studio sessions and live gigs. On board for the current stretch of dates are G.E. Smith (Saturday Night Live Band, Bob Dylan), Jack Casady (Hot Tuna), Barry Sless (Phil Lesh & Friends, David Nelson Band) and Pete Sears (Zero, Hot Tuna). Earlier this year, Moonalice, which also includes Ann McNamee (Flying Other Brothers), Roger McNamee (Flying Other Brothers) and Jimmy Sanchez (Bonnie Raitt, Boz Scaggs) entered the studio with producer T Bone Burnett to begin work on its debut album. This evening Moonalice will appear at the Oriental Theater and on Saturday will perform at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom.
