The Disco Biscuits bonded with some old friends and unusual collaborators while in Tennessee earlier this week. Last night, while performing at Nashville, TNs Cannery Ballroom, Travis Travis Tritt Band drummer David Northrup took the stage at the beginning of the groups second set for House Dog Party Favor. The country drummer first played with the Disco Biscuits at the 2005 Jammys, where the strange bedfellows performed a version of Tritts Honky-Tonk History in the middle of the Biscuits House Dog Party Favor. On Monday the Disco Biscuits also brought out Aaron Goldberg to jam during Barfly at the end of their first set at Memphis New Daisy Theatre. The bassist is a veteran of Disco Biscuits drummer Allen Aucoins previous band Spydog and actually opened for the Disco Biscuits in 2002. The Disco Biscuits will appear at Cincinnati, OHs Bogart’s this evening.
