First they jammed with Bob Weir at Wetlands, then they recorded with John Popper and, now, former teen idols Hanson have shared the stage with a member of Tea Leaf Green. On Monday Tea Leaf Green keyboardist Trevor Garrod supported Hanson at San Franciscos The Fillmore with his solo band. Garrod likely introduced himself to a number of new fans by running through a handful of songs, including Middle Son, Long Way to Texas, Caged Canary and Pretty Jane, before the evenings headliner took the stage. While Hanson did not invite Garrod to sit-in, they did offer an acoustic arrangement of MMMBop more inline with their current roots-rock sound.
Though the members of Tea Leaf Green are devoting the next few weeks to side projects, the group will reconvene for shows at Santa Cruz, CAs Rio Theatre and West Hollywood, CAs The Troubadour on December 7 and 8, respectively.
