This evening in Nashville the Blind Boys of Alabama will take the stage at Ryman Auditorium. The performance is significant as it marks the first time the Blind Boys have performed at the Grand Ole Opry. The group will deliver versions of ‘Free At Last,’ from the band’s forthcoming Down In New Orleans release, a Christmas song from their Grammy-award winning Go Tell It On The Mountain and the band’s signature take on ‘Amazing Grace,’ which it performed at the 2002 Jammys. Also on the bill will be Josh Turner, Cherryholmes, ‘Little’ Jimmy Dickens, and Bill Anderson.
