Gov’t Mule will perform its Winter of Love shows at New York’s Beacon Theatre on December 28, 29 and 31. The band has now tagged another event onto the festivities, with an official aftershow party that also will celebrate the 60th birthday of bassist George Porter Jr. This show will take place at the Blender Theatre at the Gramercy following Gov’t Mule’s performance at the Beacon on December 29. Porter will appear with what is billed as Porter, Batiste, Stoltz & Friends, and presumably those friends will include at least some members of the Mule. Tickets for the show will go on sale this Friday at noon.
