From the Mars Hotel at Highline

The Zen Tricksters have some special treats in store for their first show in 2008. On January 4 the group will appear at “New Yorks Highline Ballroom”: and perform all the songs from the Grateful Deads From the Mars Hotel, among other selections. The 1973 Dead album includes a number of choice compositions, including U.S. Blues, China Doll, Unbroken Chain, Loose Lucy, Scarlet Begonias, Pride of Cucamonga, Money Money and Ship of Fools. For this performance, the group will be joined on keyboards by Mookie Siegel, who is currently on the road with the quartet as part of Donna Jean & The Tricksters. The evening will also feature an opening set by Jounce and a coat drive hosted by Rock and Wrap It Up.

Donna Jean & the Tricksters will open for Dark Star Orchestra at Baltimore, MDs Rams Head on December 30 and celebrate New Years Eve at Reading, PAs the Silo with the New Riders of the Purple Sage.
