The Disco Biscuits returned to Camden, NJs Tweeter Center at the Waterfront on New Years Eve for a multi-band performance that featured support slots from Keller Williams, Bassnectar, Antibalas and Grimace Federation, among others. Shortly before midnight, the Disco Biscuits busted into Trans-Siberian Orchestras Wizards in Winter, a theme the group first visited on December 29, before inviting out the Antibalas horns for a version of Morph Dusseldorf that brought the group into 2008. In the weeks leading up to New Years, the Disco Biscuits dubbed their performance Circo Bisco and, keeping with that theme, packed the stage with clowns and circus performer for a Keller Williams-led cover of Michael Jacksons Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’ that also featured gestures from ‘Billie Jean and Thriller.

The Disco Biscuits second set was a completely seamless segue, connecting Reactor, Nughuffer, Shem-Rah Boo, Cyclone, Run Like Hell and Above The Waves. The group also brought out guitarist Dean Tovey, from drummer Allen Aucoins old band Skydog Gypsy, for Shem-Rah Boo. Giving their run something of a cohesive feel, throughout the night the group completed several songs left unfinished in the days preceding New Years and ended the night with a package of Munchkin Invasion and the Beatles Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (the song that opened the groups run on December 27). The Disco Biscuits will perform at Fort Collins, COs Aggie Theatre on January 16.
