Colorado heroes Yonder Mountain String Band headlined Denvers Fillmore Auditorium from December 29-31. The groups first night at the venue featured a rare solo set by G. Love, who later played guitar, harmonica and sang with Yonder on a version of Rappin’ Blues (which was sandwiched between a cover of Death Trip). Reggae legends The Wailers supplied support duties on night two and longtime Yonder collaborator Darol Anger performed with the group throughout both shows. Though the newgrass group billed its New Years Eve performance as An Evening with show and mostly shied away from guests, Yonder did bring out Colorado singer/songwriter Benny Galloway to take command on a version of Shawn Camp’s Traveling Teardrop Blues. The band also debuted a cover of Bluerassholes Since I Started Drinking Again.

Yonder will perform aboard Jam Cruise this weekend.
